Xhorse VVDI Mini Key Tool

The Mini Key Tool is the compact member of Xhorse's VVDI Key Tool family. It works on keys and transponders in the hand, not on the car through the OBD port.

What it can do

• Detect transponders and test remote frequencies on their own, without a phone.
• With the phone app (iOS or Android): edit and clone supported transponders, generate transponders, and generate Xhorse universal remotes and smart keys for supported vehicles.
• Some advanced clone functions, such as 96-bit ID48 on certain regional versions, are unlocked by Xhorse's bonus system or depend on the regional version.

Strengths

• Small and battery powered (10+ hours), and cheap compared with full key programmers.

Limitations

• Unlike the larger VVDI Key Tool, it has no remote renew function.
• Function availability differs between regional versions, so check before buying.
• It cannot program keys into a car's immobiliser on its own. That needs an OBD key programmer.
