About Vgate vLinker MC+

The vLinker MC+ is a general-purpose Bluetooth adapter with an extended command set beyond basic ELM327. That makes it usable with brand-specific apps.

Versions

  • Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE): Android, iOS and Windows. On iOS, connect inside the app.
  • Bluetooth 3.0: Android and Windows.

Works with

  • BimmerCode and BimmerLink (BMW, MINI), FORScan (Ford, Mazda, with HS and MS-CAN), JScan (Jeep), Dr. Prius, OBD Fusion and Car Scanner.

Strengths

  • One adapter for several popular brand apps.
  • Low-power sleep mode and upgradeable firmware.

Limitations

  • Bluetooth is slower and less robust than USB for long FORScan programming jobs. The vLinker FS is preferred for those.
  • Coding is done by the app, so check the app's own compatibility list for your car.
