XTOOL D7S V2.0

The D7S is the upgraded version of XTOOL's D7 tablet. It is built for independent workshops and serious DIY users who need bi-directional control and coding without paying for a top-tier tool.

Supported vehicles

• XTOOL quotes more than 10,000 models from the USA, Europe, Asia, Australia and China. Indian domestic brands are not covered.
• CAN FD and DoIP are built in, so no adapter is needed. Examples are GM from 2020 and BMW models that diagnose over DoIP.
• FCA AutoAuth secure-gateway access for Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge from 2018 and Fiat from 2017.

What it can do

• OE-level diagnostics for all systems, with auto VIN, auto scan and 8-parameter live data graphs.
• Bi-directional tests, such as the A/C clutch, ABS pump, fuel pump and cooling fans.
• Online ECU coding and PMI (module initialisation) on supported makes.
• More than 39 service functions, including oil reset, ABS bleeding, EPB, SAS, throttle adaptation, injector coding, crank sensor relearn, suspension calibration and HV battery maintenance.
• Selected key programming. Coverage is limited compared with dedicated immobiliser tools.

Strengths

• Strong function set for the price, including coding and active tests.
• Three years of free updates, and the tool keeps working with the downloaded software afterwards.
• 24 interface languages.

Limitations

• Updates are paid after three years.
• Coding coverage varies a lot by brand. It is not a replacement for brand tools such as ODIS or ISTA for deep work.
• No ECU flashing or programming.
