About Powerscan P100 Plus
The P100 Plus is a power-probe style circuit tester. It clamps to the vehicle battery and can both measure and drive circuits. Similar tools are sold under several names; Autel's PowerScan PS100 is a branded equivalent.
What it can do
- Show voltage and polarity at the probe tip, and check continuity and bad grounds.
- Apply battery positive or ground to a component to test it directly, such as a motor, lamp or relay.
- Multimeter (AVO) readings, including resistance, on its display.
Strengths
- Much faster than a test light and multimeter when tracing wiring faults on 12 V and 24 V vehicles.
Limitations
- Feeding power into the wrong circuit can damage control units or sensors, so check the wiring diagram first.
- Exact measurement ranges are not documented for this unbranded model.
