About OpenPort 2.0
OpenPort 2.0 is a J2534 pass-thru interface designed by Tactrix. It is best known for tuning and reflashing Subaru and Mitsubishi ECUs with Tactrix's free EcuFlash, and for logging with RomRaider and EvoScan.
Supported vehicles
- Subaru and Mitsubishi ECUs supported by EcuFlash and RomRaider definitions. Check the definition for your specific ECU.
- Most pre-CAN Mitsubishis (such as Evo 5–9) need a separate reflash adapter. CAN models from about 2008 (such as Evo X) flash through the OBD socket.
- Also used as a low-cost pass-thru for Toyota Techstream and other J2534 applications.
Strengths
- Huge enthusiast community and free tuning software.
Limitations
- Out of production. Tactrix is moving to OpenPort 3.0, and many units on sale are copies.
- J2534 compatibility with OEM programs varies by application.
OBD4 does not provide software, licences or downloads.
