About JLR Pathfinder

Pathfinder is Jaguar Land Rover's current diagnostic application. It works alongside SDD (Symptom Driven Diagnostics), the older software for earlier vehicles.

Which JLR tool do you need?

  • Pathfinder: 2017-onward architectures such as the Range Rover L405, Range Rover Sport L494 and Discovery L462. It needs a DoIP VCI.
  • SDD: older models. Sources differ on the exact cut-off year, so check by model.

What it can do

  • Fault codes, data logging and guided diagnostics.
  • Module programming and configuration, which may need a higher access tier for independents.

Access

  • Subscriptions are sold through JLR's TOPIx portal, and programming access costs more than documents alone.

Limitations

  • Older Mongoose and Bosch VCIs cannot reach DoIP vehicles.
