About XTOOL AD20 Pro
The AD20 Pro is a small OBD dongle that pairs with XTOOL's Advancer AD20 app. It is a code reader and on-board monitor for drivers rather than a workshop tool. It succeeds the AD10 and AD20.
Supported vehicles
- XTOOL states American vehicles from 1996, European from 2000 and Asian from 2008.
- Cars, SUVs, light trucks, minivans and hybrids. Pure electric vehicles are not supported.
- Protocols: J1850 PWM and VPW, ISO 9141-2, KWP2000 and CAN.
What it can do
- Read and clear codes in the engine, powertrain, ABS, airbag, TPMS, steering and brake systems.
- Live data, a dashboard view (including a head-up projection mode), trip analysis and 0–100 km/h performance tests.
- Oil service light reset.
Strengths
- Very low price, with no subscription.
- Can stay plugged in as a trip and fuel monitor.
Limitations
- Oil reset is its only service function.
- No active tests, coding or adaptations.
- Model-year coverage is narrower for European and Asian cars than for American ones.
