P262D: Sensor Reference Voltage G Circuit Low
Standardized SAE J2012 code · P26xx — Computer and output circuits
What does P262D mean?
The 5 V reference G voltage is below the expected level. Usually a short to ground or excessive load from a downstream sensor pulling the rail down.
The code tells you which monitor failed, not which part is broken. Test before replacing parts.
Common causes
- High Reference wire shorted to ground
- Medium Sensor on the rail shorted internally to ground
- Low Connector pins corroded - high contact resistance
