P2628: O2 Sensor Pumping Current Trim Circuit High Bank 1 Sensor 1
Standardized SAE J2012 code · P26xx — Computer and output circuits
What does P2628 mean?
The wide-band trim resistor circuit on bank 1 sensor 1 reads high. Air-fuel feedback gain is wrong, causing offsets that the controller cannot compensate.
The code tells you which monitor failed, not which part is broken. Test before replacing parts.
Symptoms
- Check engine light on
- Increased fuel consumption
- Possible rough idle or hesitation
- Failed emissions test
Common causes
- High Open calibration trim resistor
- Medium Corroded sensor connector
- Low Supply wire pinched against B+ source
