P2329: Ignition Coil J Secondary Circuit
Standardized SAE J2012 code · P23xx — Ignition system and misfire
What does P2329 mean?
A fault is detected on the secondary (high-voltage) side of ignition coil J. The spark delivered to the plug is missing or too weak, causing a misfire on the cylinder served by coil J. Causes: a worn spark plug or wide gap, a cracked coil or boot, carbon tracking, or an open or leaking secondary winding.
The code tells you which monitor failed, not which part is broken. Test before replacing parts.
Common causes
- High Spark plug worn or fouled
- Medium Secondary breakdown inside coil J
